“We must not confuse the command to love, with the disease to please.” #inbooks #FringeHours @incourage THIS. This spoke directly to my heart. When I read out loud to my hubs I could feel a lump in my throat. So often we misuse the command to Love. We interpret this calling, this deep desire to be loved and show love, as a being tangible. We think that in order to show love we have to DO everything for everyone. When we are serving others because of a desire to please them, even when we are overbooked, overworked or overwhelmed, we are not showing pure love. To truly act on this command to love, for love to pour out of you and shine in everything you do, you must avoid the disease to please and “be all you were created to be for the one who created us.”
